Proteans opens third devt centre in B`lore

Chennai: Proteans Software Solutions, a provider of outsourced product development services, has set up its third software development centre in Bangalore.

Prashant Singh, COO, Proteans Software Solutions said, "We are winning new customers and expanding existing engagements. Our business pipeline looks good, and we will continue to expand. We are looking to hire around 250 more engineers in the next 12 months."

Presently, Proteans employs 175 people, and now has three development centres in Bangalore. The company is evaluating tier-2 and tier-3 cities in India for setting up further development centres. Proteans operates out of Atlanta and Seattle in the US.

Proteans has built over 80 products working with over 40 software product companies in the past four years. Presently, the company is engaged with around 20 active customers in US.

The company recently acquired its first customers in UK, and is looking to aggressively acquire customers in the UK and Germany.

Proteans customer base includes companies in life sciences, CRM, mobile, professional services and food service industries.
