Wipro Technologies has made its grip stronger in China with a new global delivery center in Chengdu. The company announced the inauguration of its global delivery center in Chengdu, China to provide IT and BPO services to its customers.

The center will have a capacity of 1000 seats with all secured facilities, labs and infrastructure for customer project. Wipro, which has already made its presence felt in Shanghai, will broaden its service capabilities with the new delivery centers.

Wipro’s new center will initially focus on services for manufacturing, banking, financial services and insurance industries there by extending the company’s expansive portfolio of IT services to its customers.

The centre will provide multi-lingual services in English, Chinese and Japanese. According to executive vice president and chief delivery officer of Wipro Technologies Sambuddha Deb, the facility in Chengdu is one of the global strategic centres that the company is creating around the world.
