Swiss bank UBS has reportedly put up its BPO and KPO units for sale. The bank is believed to be in talks with several Indian IT companies including Infosys and Wipro according to a report in the Economic Times.

UBS has centers in Krakow (Poland) and Hyderabad valued at approximately $200 million says the report.

Wipro had helped UBS set up its captive operations in Hyderabad. UBS had invested over $70 million to set up its unit, which employs 2,100 people. The bank also has a 250-seater unit in Poland, operational since 2008.

Infosys has denied that it is in talks with UBS, while Wipro declined to comment. A statement from UBS said that the bank continually seeks to explore commercial opportunities in all jurisdictions in which it operates that have the potential to be of benefit to the company and its component businesses. However, UBS remains committed to all its activities in India.
