Contact center firm Teleperformance, launched a new center, its third, in Jaipur to handle growing demand for its services. The Jaipur center became fully operational in the second week of July and is an integral part of Teleperformance’s worldwide network of over 250 contact centers in 49 countries.
The Jaipur center currently has 250 employees scalable to 2,000 plus employees by 2010. The company is looking at hiring local talent to meet growing customer needs and touch full capacity by 2010. The new contact center will provide both general support and advanced technical help desk services to Teleperformance clients.
“Teleperformance continues to experience consistent growth in India, despite today’s economic environment, allowing us to expand our hiring here in India as we meet the needs of our domestic and global clients,” said Sanjay Mehta, MD of Teleperformance India. “We expect to hire over 8,000 employees in India by 2010, making India a significant operation centre for the company.” The India strength for the company stands at 4,500 at present across centers in Gurgaon and Indore.
Teleperformance in India serves both domestic and global clients from Jaipur and its existing outsourcing contact centers in Gurgaon and Indore. “The combination of offshore and domestic callcenters is part of our strategy to provide our clients with a full suite of business solutions to serve their needs in the best way possible,” said Brent Welch, CEO of TeleperformanceUSA.
