A report by Deutsche Bank Research had recently stated that even though China is a far cry as an business process outsourcing destination when compared to India, it may soon give Indian outsourcers a run for their money given a qualified labor force and a supportive government.
But according to a US expert, Robert Kennedy, author of The Services Shift, a new book on offshoring, China is unlikely to overtake India in outsourcing business anytime soon and it would take not one country but a lot of small ones to knock India off the top says a report in the Economic Times.
"China is pretty far behind India and even places like the Philippines and Eastern Europe. It's largely due to a language problem," said Kennedy in an interview with Forbes.com.
He however did agree that the services export from China will grow but not fast enough to overtake India anytime soon.
