Infosys Technologies has declared its third quarter results of financial year and has reported an increase in the revenue. Infosys credits its BPO unit and new engagement models for this remarkable performance. These new businesses, which are in its budding stage, have resulted in the growth of the company.
Infosys BPO’s strong performance has played a vital role in the success of the company. The IT company believes that the BPO unit is capable of contributing to the success of the company on a large scale. Experts say that the BPO firm’s performance is expected to increase in the coming years. As the BPO industry gains momentum, Infosys hopes an addition of as much as 10% of revenue from the bundled IT services and BPO services in the coming quarters.
According to Infosys Management, the pricing under new engagement model is very useful to the company. Large deals won by Infosys like the deal with Karnataka state government and Orissa government has proved beneficial to the company growth. HR Binod, Head-India - BU, Infosys Technologies, points out that most of the businesses in India are done in the new engagement model at least on a 50% basis.
