Jain believes that it is time to leverage the domestic BPO market and specifically, utilizing rural service centers. “Not only does it bridge the digital and economic divide, but it provides meaningful employment and development opportunities,” he says. That focusing on rural BPO will address the labor shortages and high attrition rates the industry faces today, goes without saying.

Perot systems reported a strong second quarter with revenues at $705 million. The company operates in 23 countries, with more than 23,000 associates serving more than 500 clients, and annual revenues of more than $2.6 billion.
