For those of you who watched and enjoyed the inaugural IPL T-20 league, here is some more good news coming your way.

Now technies working in the IT and ITeS industries can catch another round of T-20 cricket that will be played out in this garden city. What's more, a few lucky ones can even get to play alongside their heroes.

The Sports Authority of Karnataka has joined hands with a private internet video channel is unveiling a cricket tournament for techies from Karnataka that will be played out at the KSCA stadium here.

There would be sixteen teams from the top IT / BPO companies that would play eight matches in the first round followed by four in the second and the grand finals. The organizers have said that some cricketers would be part of these teams too.

The matches, to be played out during weekends, would conclude by end-September with the winner taking away a purse of Rs.20 lakh and a trophy. Published reports said the tournament would cost upwards of five crore that would be raised from the firms taking part besides over 200 companies that would be participating as sponsors and advertisers.

So, watch out for some interesting battles like Microsoft taking on Yahoo and Google or Infosys matching up with Wipro.
